Introduction
Many students upto this day live with the fear but turns out their myths aren’t valid and not facts. In this world the biggest thing that holds us from reaching the peak is some random illogical myth which I don’t know why but some people still believe in.Accordimg to me such myths arent proved by experts so why should a person believes. He/She always gets defied by some random myth. Also this is the reason why a person can’t score good marks and always scores less than his/her expectations.
So the main aim of this blog is to introduce you to student’s most common myth and bursting of them:-
Myth: “You Have to Study for Hours to Succeed”
It’s not the matter with how many hours you study but it is the matter with how deeply and how properly you engage in your study . This the reason why many students in your class always seem busy with their study but end up scoring still low as compared to those who study.
Be the odd one and not walk in crowd and get away with this myth of 10-12 hours study. Instead focus on your target of portion completed and prepare a smart planner for tracking your progress.
Myth: “You Have to Study for Hours to Succeed”
I just want to share a short incident of my life that I still remember the day of my IV grade periodic test result when my maths teacher handed me my answer sheet of me getting 19/40 marks. I was truly disappointed. But here I’m today recently having my Xth boards marksheet of me in my maths subject getting 92/100 for many it may look less but just look at the upliftment of the graph of my scores within 6 years . This is where many studentsack behind. If I also would done the same thing in class IV by thinking I’m a loser and this subject is not made for me others are god gifted in maths but I’m not made for this then do you even think I would be in place where I’m currently at?
This is where my main message starts that no one is born god gifted he/she has shined only because of his/her hardwork and lessons of failure.
Myth: “Multitasking Makes You More Productive”
Studying while scrolling reels or texting actually kills your focus ,attention span and retentiom power . So instead keep your phone on silent and just study.D
Don’t try to play fool with yourself and don’t indulge in doom scrolling in the midst of study hours.Instead just study and finish your syllabus or daily target and then do other stuffing your free time.
As monotasking fully boosts your productivity and speeds up your retention power.
Myth:- motivation comes first.
The fact is motivation never lasts for longer period of time and waiting for motivation is like waiting for the perfect weather it may take forever and never come.So instead beforehand out some action as action builds momentum and with that small momentum you can move rocks.
As you start to not worry about motivation your half problem gets finished. So don’t just wait for motivation.Instead plan out your approach for your goals and targets. You will surely succeed.
Myth: “If You Don’t Get It Now, You Never Will”
The owner of KFC got succes in his early 80s. This teaches us that success has no age .Just you shouldn’t worry about the result just work on your flaws and keep your momentum going without any kind of fear and never reply on others too much and don’t expect from others to get too much. Beleive in your self .Life is short dude. Just trust in yourself people still care for youru dude. Never worry about your late results.
CONCLUSION
The biggest problem with studying isn’t your routine, your marks, or even your distractions—it’s the beliefs you carry in your head.
You’ve probably heard these myths so many times, they feel like facts: “Study 10 hours a day,” “Only toppers succeed,” “If you’re not motivated, don’t even bother.” But now you know better. These ideas don’t help—they trap you. They make you feel guilty when you’re doing enough, make you quit when things don’t click instantly, and keep you stuck in a loop of self-doubt.
But guess what? The truth is way more freeing.
You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to be consistent. You don’t need motivation—you need momentum. And no, toppers aren’t magical creatures—they’re just humans with systems. The moment you shift your mindset from “I can’t” to “I’m learning,” everything starts to change.
The next time you catch yourself believing one of these myths, pause. Ask yourself: Is this helping me grow? Or holding me back?
Studying isn’t a punishment—it’s a tool. A way to unlock your potential. And once you stop chasing false rules and start trusting real strategies, you’ll finally feel the difference.
So take a breath, shake off the pressure, and show up for yourself—not for perfection, but for progress.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not the myths that define your journey—it’s what you choose to believe next.
And I say this confidently: you’ve got what it takes.
Time to prove it to yourself.
